RELATED: The Best Weapons In Divinity: Original Sin II, Ranked. There are only five potential companions in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and they are scattered all around Fort Joy in specific spots, but some move around depending on the situation. With all the side missions and throw away lore to dive into, it's best to get the companions collected.
Companions in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition are aides that you can use in combat throughout your journey. There are 4 main Companions that you can recruit in Cyseal. These NPCs have stories of their own which will turn into Quests as you progress into the game. You can have up to 2 Companions in your party at any given time. Speaking of animal companions, in P:Km, I usually play a character with some levels of a class that gives me an animal companion. I do the same with Amiri, and Ekun comes with his dog. So across the three of us, we end up with three animal companions. As for quirky companions in other games, my memory fails me in remembering character.
First of all, Okku was a great companion and I definitively encourage everyone to play NwN2 MotB.
If you want games with a great story I recommand Planescape Torment, Disco Elysium ( true successor of PST, forget Numenera ) and MotB.
I also like KotoR2 a lot with one of the best characters in gaming history, but some star wars fans might hate it.
My main problem with non humanoid party members is that usually they have very limited options regarding their equipment and how to build them.
PST had very limited equipment options for every char, most items were for the main char only and since its best to be a mage all non daggers weapons were useless.
Okku could only equip rings and amulets and One of Many could not equip anything at all.
This is not a problem in a story focussed game and I really love those games, but players who love combat and optimizing their chars might not.
Well, those players will probably use a party of custum chars anyway.
